thunderstorm?

We're currently waiting for a thunderstorm. I happen to like thunderstorms (to bad my wife does not like to stay outside in the rain...); for now I'll be just happy when the temperature goes down a bit.
For reference: we woke up this morning at 27°C, when we came back from work it was 33°C, and now - 5 hours later - we have an interior temperature of 31,5°C. All windows open of course, let's hope today we won't get any worldcup noise.

A positive thought to end: it is predicted the weekend will have temperatures ranging around 24°C, with light wind and overcast skies. Perfect for flyfishing :)

Italians

World Cup. Italy played yesterday - and won. Unfortunately in the center of Brussels there's a rather large concentration of Italians (students with nothing better to do in the exam period?); now add some very hot weather.

Result: 2 hours of sleep last night. I hope there are no Brazilians in our neighbourhood. A few more nights like this and I might get very, very unpleasant.

Two more months. And then - silence...

links

It is a calm day here at work. So I have two links for you:

Bie's weblog and Der Karlsruher Wolkenatlas. First one made by Dutch cabaretier Wim De Bie - Belgian readers should know him, for all the others: he is part of "Van Koten & De Bie", a Dutch comic ("cabaretier") duo which (in my opinion) is on par with Monty Python.

Der Karlsruher Wolkenatlas is, well, a cloud and weather atlas. With pictures, lots of pictures. In German, but don't let that bother you. Just enjoy the pictures. And while you're at it, also check Weatherstock and Electric Skies. Very nice.
